Helly Hansen Workwear
As one of the largest and most reputable names in all of outdoor clothing, the Helly Hansen brand needs no introduction. Trusted by professionals all over the world, to protect against the elements and hazardous environments from some of the most inhospitable environments in the world from oceans to the mountains. The 140 year old business has constantly developed and expanded to grow a comprehensive range that keeps more and more people protected in a number of ways. This has included creating a brilliant collection of workwear that caters to both the professionals that operate in extreme environments, as well of those that simply need comfortable high performing gear to provide protection from the wind, rain, cold or heat in their day-to-day working tasks. HH has a vast range of garments and accessories to help workers of all industries find something that can help them in their day to day work.
Helly Hansen Technology
Over the years working on clothing fit for a variety of environments, Helly Hansen has developed and honed a collection of custom fabric technologies and features that improve the practicality of their garments as well as the comfort felt by the wearer. With these proprietary features being married to workwear industry staple features to create a comprehensive and effective range. As a result, HH workwear is among the finest on the market and is of a quality worthy of the brand,
Lifa® technology is one of Helly’s oldest innovations. Lifa is a moisture management system that Helly Hansen workwear employs to control the temperature in a garment and keep the wearer comfortable. It’s a technique that has been used across the vast majority of Helly’s workwear offerings, notably so with their base layers thanks to their history of extreme sport clothing. The lightweight fibres in the build help retain heat and keep the wearer warm, whilst the mesh layer absorbs moisture from the skin and allows it to escape the garment, keeping you cool. Lifa workwear is brilliant for active workers on their feet all day, as well as those who want to stay warm without packing on a load of layers.
One of the most key characteristics of outdoor workwear clothing is being waterproof. You never know when you are going to get caught out by the weather or you might just be working in a water-based environment. Helly’s answer to this is their HellyTech waterproof membrane. HellyTech garments are breathable and allow moisture vapour to exit while simultaneously preventing water droplets or piercing winds from entering, thus keeping the wearer completely dry and comfy in even the most adverse conditions.
Helly Hansen Workwear Safety Features
Lifa base layers and HellyTech membranes are just a couple of Helly Hansen’s features that they apply to workwear. There are also a plethora of industry-recognised features, tried and tested over years of use in the world of work that Helly incorporates in their hh workwear.
Often a requirement of the workplace, hi vis workwear is a great way to improve the safety of you or your workforce. Improved visibility ensures accidents are minimised in environments where there is large moving machinery and hazards are aplenty. Likewise work in dimly lit environments like tunnels as well as operations at night become viable. Helly Hansen Hi Vis workwear comes in a wide variety of form factors, from the expected hi vis jackets to hi vis vests and shirts. All of Helly Hansen’s hi vis gear has been constructed to meet EN ISO 20471 safety standards, which proves they are suitable enough to be officially classed as full-on hi vis workwear.
Depending on the industry, fire and sparks can be a frequent danger. Helly’s flame retardant workwear can help with this. This range has shirts, trousers and even socks with the EN ISO 11612 safety certificate, meaning they successfully shield the wearer from fire and flames, sometimes sparks as well thanks to some of them being anti-static. These garments are still just as comfortable and flexible as other Helly workwear items and are often paired with Hi Vis elements to increase safety even further.
Aside from the HellyTech membrane, there are other ways Helly Hansen waterproof workwear is weather-proofed. Helly Hansen work jackets are fitted with storm flaps, hand warmer pockets and taped seams to ensure you are completely prepared for the rain. Add in a pair of Helly Hansen rain pants and even some waterproof boots, and you have a full recipe for weather protection.
Thermal workwear is also a speciality of Helly Hansen. This comes as no surprise to anyone familiar with their history of making gear designed for the coldest of conditions. Jumpers, t shirts and jackets across Helly’s range have all been given primaloft insulation to ensure they retain their heat and comfort all day long.
Helly Hansen workwear for everyone
For almost every Helly Hansen mens coat, there’s a Helly Hansen women’s jacket of comparable quality. Helly have manufactured their workwear range with both men and women in mind, and offer garments with the same features across both fittings. Adjustable drawstrings and the use of stretch material can also get you a comfy fit in your outfit without restricting freedom of movement. The Helly Hansen clothing range, especially the hi vis side, comes in a variety of colours.
